Professional Physical Therapy Announces Inaugural Senior Coalition in Greenwich Village
Uniondale, NY and Greenwich Village, NYC (PRWEB) July 18, 2016 -- Professional Physical Therapy, a leading provider of physical therapy and rehabilitation clinics throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, announces today their inaugural “Senior Coalition” event, in conjunction with local Greenwich Village D’Agostino Supermarket on Saturday, July 23rd from 12:00pm – 2:30pm at 790 Greenwich Street in Manhattan.
Led by two of Professional Physical Therapy’s licensed Physical Therapists, this complimentary program has been designed for the sedentary, adult population to safely become more active. Adults, 60 years and over, who want to improve balance and coordination, increase muscle strength, and lead a healthier overall lifestyle are encouraged to attend. An inactive lifestyle may eventually lead to an increased risk of falling, less independence, minimizing the ability to participate in social activities, along with many additional risks.
Thirty minute sessions will consist of an introduction and demonstration of seven different exercises, followed by supervised practice of each activity, during which attendees will be able to ask questions of the Physical Therapists in a casual, relaxed environment. Each participant will receive instruction and guidance on how to continue the exercises at home, and will leave with a giveaway from Professional Physical Therapy.
“This new opportunity will allow us to take our passion for care to a new level, by proactively helping adults reduce their risk of injury in everyday lifestyle, and avoid other healthcare issues, such as low bone density and lack of muscle strength, that arise as a result of an inactive lifestyle. This exciting event, spearheaded by Clinical Director, Michael Goldstein, and Physical Therapist, Anthony Sacramento, both of our Chelsea office, is the first of hopefully many more to come. We look forward to initiating positive influence on even more people’s lives,” states Tony D’Angelo, Partner and Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations.
"D'Agostino Supermarket is proud to work with Professional Physical Therapy to make this very meaningful service available to our neighborhood,” agrees G. Robert James, President and Chief Operating Officer of D’Agostino Supermarkets. “Our shared vision of finding new ways to enhance the lives of seniors in our community is a privilege that we are excited to bring to life through this partnership."
The event will be held on Saturday, July 23rd from 12:00pm – 2:30pm at D’Agostino Supermarket in Greenwich Village, located at 790 Greenwich Street, New York, NY, 10014. Reservations are required and space is limited. To reserve a spot, call Professional Physical Therapy at 212-741-9288.
This program is designed to ensure that the people of the local community receive expert and valuable guidance on improving their quality of life, with a goal of expanding this new program in the near future. All adults in the community are encouraged to attend, participate, and spread the word to their communities.
