Collection features baseball players and notable figures from sports, pop culture and history

PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, one of the nation’s fastest growing accounting and advisory firms, announced today that Robert Raiola, Director of the Firm’s Sports and Entertainment Group, will be featured in the upcoming 2016 Topps® Allen & Ginter® baseball card collection. The series, released today, contains cards featuring Major League Baseball players and other notable figures from sports, pop culture and history including radio host Mike Francesa and actor Kevin Costner. Raiola will be featured on four different card styles randomly distributed throughout packs of the collection: base cards, mini parallels, autographed cards and relic cards, which will include a piece of a tie from Raiola’s own wardrobe.

“We’ve always seen Robert as a sports tax all-star but now he has his own trading card to prove it,” said Kevin J. Keane, Managing Partner. “This is a great honor and while it’s a fun thing to have, it really says a lot about his reputation as an expert and trusted advisor to athletes and other industry professionals. We’re proud to have Robert on our team and we’re hanging onto his rookie card – it could be worth something someday.”

Robert Raiola is the Director of the Sports and Entertainment Group at PKF O’Connor Davies. He has more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sector providing business management services, tax planning and business consulting to high net worth individuals and their families in the sports and entertainment industries.

“We are always thinking outside the box for this collection, and Robert Raiola always stands out from the crowd with his clever and insightful takes on the tax issues facing today’s athletes,” said Clay Luraschi, Topps’ Vice President of Product Development. “The ‘Sports Tax Man’ is a must follow on Twitter, and it was clear to us that he was a must-include for this exciting new collection.”

Allen & Ginter baseball cards have a long and storied history, beginning as a promotional item for tobacco products in the late 1880s. Since reintroducing the line in 2006, it has become one of Topps’ most popular and best-selling brands, known for its sketched artwork, unique materials and inclusion of uncommon trading card subjects, from The Invisible Man to the Golden Gate Bridge. The 2016 Allen & Ginter collection packs will be available at local hobby stores, retailers including Target and Wal-Mart and on Topps.com.
