Criterion Network Labs Announces SDN/NFV Alliance Program
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) July 27, 2016 -- Criterion Network Labs, an independent network interoperability test facility announced today the launch of CNLabs SDN/NFV Alliance Program. The program brings together SDN/NFV product vendors and end users to help ensure that SDN/NFV products meet the solution and production requirements of customers.
Flexibility can lead to complexity. This is often the case with deployments involving SDN/NFV products where intended product behaviour may not exactly meet customer needs. Objective and systematic validation in a solution test environment is essential to ensure that the products integrate, scale and interoperate well for real world solutions. CNLabs SDN/NFV Alliance program addresses the requirement by providing a collaborative multi-vendor solution test framework that benefits both product vendors and end-users.
"Several open communities and membership forums available today for network product vendors and customers are broadly focused on developing the eco-system. A customer centric alliance program from an independent test facility like CNLabs provides the depth that is necessary, complements efforts done in these communities and enables product vendors to take their offerings beyond proof of concepts into real world deployments," said Jayaprakash Kumar, Director of CNLabs and Interoperability Lead at the Open Networking Foundation.
A key attribute of the CNLabs Alliance program is that all the product and solution requirements are sourced from end-user alliance customers there by ensuring that the program addresses the goal of product testing to meet real-world deployment needs. Network product vendors receive comprehensive solution test reports on product fit, performance and interoperability twice every year. End user customers like Network Operators and Enterprise Customers get access to independent test reports across different vendor products validated for their collective solution needs. Additionally, the program provides a forum for operators to drive alignments and further partnerships with participating vendors.
"We are glad to be one of the initial members of the CNLabs SDN/NFV Alliance Program. This program helps a ICT Provider like us get an independent and objective assessment of various product and solution options available today to support our technology transformation initiatives," said Ravi Maguluri, Senior Vice President, SIFY Technologies Limited.
CNLabs SDN/NFV Alliance program is offered as an annual paid membership for network product vendors. Membership for end users and operators is offered at no-cost. More details of the program, membership obligations and related information is available at http://www.criterionnetworklabs.com
