The National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) has partnered with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines to award a total of seven $5,000 scholarships to qualified applicants pursuing or advancing their careers as professional pilots. Alaska Airlines has partnered with the organization to award a Boeing 737 type rating and a future interview opportunity to a qualified applicant.
The application deadline for all scholarships is August 1, 2016 at midnight, PST.
"We are so thankful to our airline allies,' said David Pettet, Executive Director, National Gay Pilots Association. 'Together, we look forward to providing qualified applicants with a little help to pursue a career in aviation."
