Over 10 Million Patients Use Clockwise.MD to Reserve their Place in Line at Clinics across the U.S
ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) August 02, 2016 -- Clockwise.MD today announced that more than ten million patients across the United States have used their online scheduling service to make an apppointment or reservation online at a nearby clinic. That number was just over one million in April of last year.
Clinics across the United States use Clockwise.MD to minimize lobby wait times, offer transparency into wait status, and improve patient satisfaction. Similar to call-ahead seating at a restaurant, Clockwise.MD allows patients to make an appointment or save a spot in line before leaving their home. The system then sends SMS text updates to patients about the status of their appointment or reservation. Clinics are provided with detailed data about throughput and patient experience, which is used to optimize staffing, scheduling, and patient satisfaction even further.
“Sentara Medical Group Urgent Cares implemented Clockwise.MD in January of 2015. We have always delivered high-quality care, but wait time was our number one complaint. Since adopting this technology, our wait times have dramatically decreased. When patients arrive at a clinic based on the Clockwise recommended time, their average time from front door to exam room is under 10 minutes. Our online adoption is averaging 30% with sites hitting 45% on some days,” states Susan Farr, Director of Operations at Sentara Medical Group Urgent Care. “This technology is a market differentiator for us. The only reason for patients to be sitting in our waiting rooms for an extended period is because they want to.”
Clockwise.MD, a 2016 recipient of the Healthcare Heroes Award from the Atlanta Business Chronicle, will add thousands more urgent care clinics, emergency departments, and primary and speciality care facilities to its customer count this year.
“We are thrilled with the response to the Clockwise system from both customers and patients, and are looking forward to partnering with even more industry-leading healthcare providers as the adoption of online scheduling and virtual queuing technologies continues to grow,” says Mike Burke, Founder and CEO of Clockwise.MD.
