Engel & Völkers and Artists for Trauma Are Set to Join Forces This August
(PRWEB) July 28, 2016 -- With a commitment to community, premium lifestyle real estate brand, Engel & Völkers South Bay is teaming up with Artists for Trauma to host the Adaptive Artists Multi-Media Group Art Show at their shop this August.
Founded in 2011 by trauma survivor Laura Sharpe, the concept behind Artists for Trauma (AFT) was inspired by Sharpe’s road to recovery, during which she connected with the world of art as a source of healing. The organization offers a creative portal for patients to process all of the after-effects of their traumatic experiences, expediting recovery through artistic expression, in order to positively reconnect with themselves, their families, and their communities.
“AFT is truly an inspiring and innovative organization,” says Ben Larson, Co-Owner of Engel & Völkers South Bay. “We are honored to be hosting this outstanding event to increase awareness of the mission behind the cause – healing through art.”
The three-day event begins on Friday, August 5th, with a Red Carpet Opening where guests will enjoy refreshments while browsing the positive and compelling art for sale. The show continues through the weekend with an art exhibition featuring Adaptive Artists specializing in photography, film, sculpture, painting, digital drawing and more. The official event flier is attached for additional information such as location and times. For further questions or to RSVP, please contact info(at)artistsfortrauma(dot)org.
