Frazier & Deeter CPA Announces Web series for Women Business Owners
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) July 27, 2016 -- Frazier & Deeter today announced the launch of a web series that will provide women business owners and women considering launching a business with information designed to help them grow their business. This series will expand upon the firm’s Women Business Leadership program, which began in 2010, to offer content that is readily accessible on demand, in addition to live events.
According to the National Women’s Business Council there are over 9 million businesses owned by women in the United States, and the number of women-owned businesses increased by more than 26% between 2008 and 2012. According to a 2014 study published by Womenable, women-owned businesses added 274,000 jobs between 2007 and 2014, while employment at men-owned and equally owned businesses declined during the same time period.
“Women have been starting businesses in record numbers in recent years, and one of the goals of our women’s business leadership program is to help these entrepreneurs thrive,” said Seth McDaniel, Managing Partner of Frazier & Deeter.
“Frazier & Deeter’s women’s program has always had a focus on supporting women-led business,” noted LeighAnn Costley, Tax Partner with Frazier & Deeter and one of the leaders of the firm’s Women Business Leadership program. “Expanding our Women Business Leadership event series to the web is a logical extension that enables us to provide information and support to business owners who may not be able to otherwise participate because of their location or time constraints.”
The first webcast, “LaunchPad2X: Developing Women Entrepreneurs” features Bernie Dixon, the founder of LaunchPad2X, along with Diana Keough of ShareWIK and Anna Ruth Williams of AR|PR. This webcast focuses on LaunchPad2X, an educational program for women focused on transitioning female leaders from founder to CEO. Keough and Williams are graduates of the LaunchPad2X program.
LaunchPad2X is currently accepting applications for its 2016 class, which will begin in September.
“We’re delighted to have LaunchPad2X be the focus of the inaugural event in this web series,” said Bernie Dixon, founder of LaunchPad2X. “This series will bring information to women entrepreneurs that is more than nice to know; it is information that can be pivotal in the growth of their businesses.”
Upcoming topics for the web series include becoming a certified woman-owned business and working with investors.
