Spring-Ford Area School District (PA) Improves Inter-Departmental Communication by Partnering with Registration Gateway

Inter-departmental communication has been positively affected by automating the process with Registration Gateway.

When a new batch of students enroll for the upcoming school year, a lot of departments have to be notified each with their own individual requirements. It’s all very complicated and it has to be done smoothly and quickly in order for staff across the district to get in gear.

The minute student registration information is sealed [by a school employee], much of the data entry is automatically imported into our SIS, and trigger emails are automatically sent across the district,” says Sacks. “Notifications are triggered to District Child Accounting, individual school building offices, guidance counselors, nurses, ELL Department, Special Education Department, and Transportation Department.”

And as for the other perks? With 96% of student parents completing their enrollment process online through Registration Gateway, and the other 3% using the Registration Gateway portal from the Spring-Ford Area office with the help of an employee, Sacks says, “We have saved money on printing, copying, personal hours of answering many, many phone calls, returning calls, scheduling appointments, and hours of data entry work.”
