“We see EMRdirect as a way for our MedicsRIS clients to keep their referrers referring, and to actually expand their networks with new referrers. Without question, ADS clients will be able to leverage EMRdirect over competing imaging facilities.”

Advanced Data Systems (ADS) announced that it has successfully transmitted finalized reports from within ADS’ MedicsRIS™ directly to referring physicians’ certified EMRs using ADS’ new EMRdirect application.

EMRdirect utilizes Surescripts™ Direct Message technology to deliver reports directly to any EMR without requiring an HL7 interface. Referring physicians can also open patients’ images from links embedded in EMRdirect reports making for a complete package of transmitting reports and images.

David Barzillai, President of ADS, said, “EMRdirect’s ability to transmit reports directly to referring physicians’ EMRs without an HL7 interface or third party facilitator is a feature that will transform how referring physicians and imaging centers share information. ADS is proud to be at the forefront of this report delivery capability.”

“We see EMRdirect as a way for our MedicsRIS clients to keep their referrers referring, and to actually expand their networks with new referrers. Without question, ADS clients will be able to leverage EMRdirect over competing imaging facilities,” said Steve Hamburg, ADS National Director of RIS Sales. “Every referring practice is asking for reports to go directly to their EMR. With EMRdirect, that can now be accomplished without an expensive interface.”

Mr. Hamburg noted, “Since EMRdirect can send reports into any Stage 2 Certified EMR without an HL7 interface, the savings for an imaging center can be tens of thousands of dollars or more, compared with the cost of writing an interface to each referring practice. Our MedicsRIS clients will have an extraordinary, unique clinical and marketing tool at their fingertips, built right into their MedicsRIS applications.”
