(PRWEB) July 27, 2016 -- The San Diego employment law lawyers at Blumenthal, Nordrehaug and Bhowmik filed a proposed class action Complaint against Alamitos Enterprises, LLC for allegedly failing to provide their employees with the legally required thirty minute uninterrupted meal periods and the rest periods as required under California law. The Alamitos Enterprises class action lawsuit, Case No. 30-2016-00865183-CU-OE-CXC is currently pending in the Orange County Superior Court. To view a copy of the Complaint, click here.
The proposed class action lawsuit alleges that the employees working at California auto repair shops owned and operated by Alamitos Enterprises were not always able to take their thirty minute uninterrupted meal breaks before their fifth hour of work. California law requires employers to provide their non-exempt employees paid on an hourly basis with thirty minute meal periods before the employee works five hours. Additionally, the lawsuit also claims that California hourly employees were not provided adequate rest periods under California law.
