Serenity Place Hosts the Courage to Change Gala on the Eve of its 40th Anniversary
Manchester, NH (PRWEB) August 03, 2016 -- Serenity Place will host its annual Courage to Change Gala on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 5:30-8:00 pm at the newly remodeled Falls Event Center in Manchester, NH. The event will raise funds to continue supporting the New Hampshire community with addiction services, celebrate the individuals who are critical to furthering Serenity Place’s mission, and honor those who have made it to recovery and beyond.
The theme for the 2016 Courage to Change Gala is My Road to Serenity (#myroadtoserenity2016) and Serenity Place is anticipating a record-breaking 350 attendees. This year’s Gala is designed to be highly interactive to honor the personal and individualized journey patients take towards recovery.
Upon entering, guests will be provided with their Gala “roadmap” which highlights the different events occurring throughout the evening in the many rooms of The Falls Event Center. The goal is to encourage attendees to explore the space, enjoy the food, and get inspired by the stories of those who have overcome addiction - all while benefiting the New Hampshire community.
“New Hampshire has some of the highest substance misuse rates in the country, yet we are 49th out of the 50 states when it comes to accessible treatment options. The funds raised from the Courage to Change Gala are vital in ensuring that our clients at Serenity Place have access to the support they need and are given every opportunity to flourish,” said Stephanie Bergeron, Serenity Place’s CEO. To date, the Courage to Change Gala has raised addiction awareness as well as more than $150,000 to support Serenity Place programs.
In keeping with tradition, Serenity Place will also honor an individual who exemplifies the values of Serenity Place with the 2016 Courage to Change Award. Board members and Event Chairs, Mary Constance and Ross Kukish, are looking forward to unveiling this year’s Courage to Change Award winner. “We typically share the award recipient before the event, but this year, we will unveil the winner the night of the Gala. Since we are just one year away from our 40th anniversary, we are committed to making this evening as unique as possible, including keeping this exciting information as long as possible.”
The ticket price for the Gala is $50 and sponsorship opportunities range from $1,000 - $10,000. To purchase tickets or to support Serenity Place in other ways such as sponsoring a day of treatment for a client for $160, visit http://myroadtoserenity.eventbrite.com.
