Fall Walk-Around Tasting Event on Sept. 30 Will Allow Wine Lovers to Sample Award-Winning Wine List at Luxury Boutique Hotel and Restaurant

The Bernards Inn, New Jersey’s premier boutique hotel and restaurant, has once again established itself as one of the world’s top wine destinations by garnering two prestigious wine awards from Wine Spectator and The World of Fine Wine British magazine. Wine lovers can sample the award-winning wine list at the Around the World Wine Tasting Event on September 30.

The Bernards Inn received the 2016 Wine Spectator’s “Best of Award of Excellence” for the 18th consecutive year, while the World of Fine Wine distinguished the restaurant as offering one of the best wine lists in the world for the third time in its international ranking. The panel of judges from the World of Fine Wine judged over 4,500 restaurants and only 322 received the top tier rating of three stars.

According to Wine Spectator, the “Best of Award of Excellence” recipients offer more extensive selections with significant vintage depth and excellent breadth across multiple regions. Typically offering 350 or more selections, these restaurants are destinations for serious wine lovers, showing a deep commitment to wine, both in the cellar and through their service team.

The Bernards Inn offers more than 1,500 wine selections in its 14,000-bottle collection, carefully selected by Wine Director and Sommelier Terri Baldwin, to complement the progressive American cuisine crafted by Executive Chef Corey Heyer.

Under the direction of Baldwin, now in her 24th year at The Bernards Inn, the restaurant offers a selection of over 55 wines by the glass reflecting what is new, noteworthy, and exciting in the wine world. The collection features many different styles from regions around the world with a range of prices starting at only $7.75 a glass. A temperature-controlled, custom-made wine cellar located in the Piano Bar displays up to 960 bottles for guests and wine enthusiasts to view.

The Bernards Inn hosts special wine tasting dinners and wine events throughout the year, including the Fall Walk-Around Wine Tasting Event on Friday, September 30 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy sampling over 100 wines from some of the most celebrated wine regions in the world. Additionally, the recently redesigned Wine Pantry provides a sophisticated, private venue for unique events, meetings and special occasions.
