Geri Westphal’s new book, Beautiful Lady ($13.99 paperback, 9781498472005; $6.99, e-book, 9781498472012), is an inspirational guide that chronicles her personal breast cancer journey and provides readers with essential tools on how to be the ultimate cancer warrior. With honesty and humor, Westphal shares her story to inspire other women who may be battling cancer’s grip on their lives and introduces readers to a new perspective on age-old beliefs that may weigh heavy on the heart of a cancer patient.
“I felt betrayed. I trusted that healthy living would bring a healthy life. I felt I had always done the right thing and I thought it would give me a good life. Instead, it gave me cancer. I felt betrayed but then something amazing happened. When overwhelming fear and despair consumed me, I found strength I didn’t know I had; I found a rebirth and reawakening to what is most important in my life”, states Geri Westphal.
Beautiful Lady is not only for cancer warriors but also for life warriors. It is a book that is written with honest emotion for people in all different storms of life. “It is beautiful, heartbreaking, but yet so inspiring! We are all warriors in one way or another,” said one recent Amazon reader.
Geri Westphal was born in Dubuque, Iowa and is the third of six children. She was born and raised in Wisconsin and moved to Littleton, Colorado in 1984, where she currently resides.
