Since 1926, the Imperial Palms Resort at Barbara Worth has catered to guests and offered a unique experience unlike anywhere in the Imperial Valley. In the mid-1920s, Southern California was on the rise and the Imperial Valley was making a name for itself. Barbara Worth is based off of the fictional character from the 1911 best selling novel, The Winning of Barbara Worth by Harold Bell Wright, which told the story of the cool and sophisticated rancher’s daughter, Barbara Worth. Her attention was being vied for by a local cowboy and out of town engineer. The novel went onto become a critically acclaimed film in 1926, starring Gary Cooper and with parts of the movie being filmed here in the Imperial Valley. The “can do” attitude of Barbara Worth and her love of the land can still be found today on the grounds of our resort and in the attitude of our friendly staff.
Sader Hospitality Worldwide was awarded the contract to manage the Imperial Palms Resort at Barbara Worth on June 1, 2015. Within just the first year of working with the hotel, Ghassan J. Sader, and his team were able to successfully double the business of the hotel. The great success of the new management group has given the Imperial Palms Resort at Barbara Worth the opportunity to provide the excellent renovations that will soon grace the property. Sader Hospitality Worldwide is a privately owned hospitality management group that employs a dedicated team committed to bringing success to every hotel they work with. The management group specializes in the turnaround of hotels, resorts, castles, golf courses, and restaurants regardless of the type of class or of hospitality assets.
