Groups hosting an October 2016 gathering at DoubleTree by Hilton Williamsburg now can choose from a variety of offsite activities where conferees can commemorate the anniversary of the Revolutionary War, explore the culture of Polynesian navigators, browse from among local artists and even scream at creepy creatures.

Groups at DoubleTree by Hilton Williamsburg can join Celebrate Yorktown Victory Weekend, October 15 – 16, at the Yorktown Victory Center featuring hands-on military experiences, artillery firings and a preview of the American Revolutionary Museum at Yorktown. At the Yorktown Battlefield, groups can witness re-enactments by British and American troops.

At the Mariners’ Museum and Park in nearby Newport News, groups can explore the culture of the Polynesian navigators and learn about their incredible navigational skills based on their knowledge of waves, winds, stars and nature. Open October 1 – 15 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

For inspiration under the sea, experience Humpback Whales 3D, an incredible journey into the world of these awesome 50-ton marine mammals as they migrate up to 10,000 miles round-trip every year. Presented every Monday – Sunday at The Mariners’ Museum & Park in nearby Newport News from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Howl-O-Scream is back at Busch Gardens® where groups will encounter ghoulish creatures in dark haunted houses and entertaining live shows.
