Enjoy the 2016 Grays Harbor County Fair With These Fair Tips for the Whole Family
Elma, WA (PRWEB) August 04, 2016 -- There’s so much to see, do and enjoy at the 2016 Grays Harbor Country Fair opening next week and running from Aug. 10-14 in Elma, Washington. Here are some tips to maximize the fun:
Advance carnival ride discounts: At the Fair, unlimited Davis Carnival ride wristbands are priced at $26 and are available for purchase at the carnival lot. But if you’re quick, you can still take advantage of the pre-sale price of $22 at the Grays Harbor County Fair office and the Montesano, Elma and Aberdeen Anchor Bank branches through Aug. 9.
Start with the fair daily schedule: Once you arrive you’ll be offered a free brochure outlining all the fun. Take a moment to scan it to plan your day at the Fair. It offers a rundown of all of the entertainment and exhibits – you won’t miss a thing!
Enjoy all of the food – but pace yourself: The Fair offers lots of tasty offerings. You’ll want to try them all. But take your time to work your way through all of possibilities. An elephant ear, perhaps? Maybe a burger with fried onions? A deep-fried Twinkie? Turkey leg? The Fair offers all of this and more – enjoy!
Headliner entertainment: Remember, your ticket includes general admission seating at the Pepsi Stage for Fair headliners Tanya Tucker (sponsored by Bigfoot 107.3), The Brothers Osborne (sponsored by Horns & Hooks and Bigfoot 107.3), Corey Daniels & Humptulips (sponsored by Bayview Building Materials of Elma) and Appetite for Deception (sponsored by the Vaughan Company). Reserved seating is available at $30 for Tanya Tucker and The Brothers Osborne, and includes admission to the Fair.
Downhome fun: Part of the charm of the Grays Harbor County Fair is that it’s a real old fashioned summer fair, including the 4-H animals, gardening/baking displays and artistic offerings. There’s a lot to see. Enjoy all of the exhibits and say hello to the critters happy to see you back at the Fair.
Talented entertainers everywhere you look: The Grays Harbor County Fair provides entertainment throughout the grounds and on smaller stages - music, magic, juggling and lots of surprises. There’s something for every member of your family.
Don’t forget the car racing: The Grays Harbor Raceway will roar with car racing on Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. – a Grays Harbor County Fair tradition – and like all the fair entertainment, the car races are free with paid admission to the Fair, and are sponsored by Grays Harbor Raceway.
Fair admission tickets are priced at $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and $6 for students 6-15 (kids 5 and under are free). The Fair will also honor current and former military service members with a $2 military discount throughout all five days of the Fair. Other Fair discount admissions include Kids’ Day promotions on Thursday Aug. 6 featuring $1 off Kids Admission and discounted carnival rides, and Sunday features free admission from 10 -11 a.m. only.
Fair hours are 10 am – 10 pm, Aug. 10 - 12; 10 am – 11 pm, Aug. 13; and 10 am – 6 pm, Aug. 14.
