Joseph Federico Announces 2016/2017 Renewal of NJ MET, Inc.’s ITAR Registration

Vice President and Director of Operations, announced that NJ MET, Inc., has renewed its registration statement with the Compliance and Registration Division of The Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance. “This registration process included the renewal of our International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR) registration for 2016/2017,” said Joseph Federico at NJ MET’s Clifton, NJ headquarters.
“We continue to empower NJ MET officials to sign and practice the registration statement and transmission letters under code: M18392,” Joseph Federico continued.
ITAR Section 122.5 requires companies such as NJ MET, Inc. to maintain records concerning the registration, manufacturing, acquisition, and disposition of defense articles; the provision of defense services; and information on political contributions, fees or commissions furnished or obtained as required by ITAR Part 130. These records must be available at all times for inspection and copying. To maintain these records, managers, supervisors and employees need appropriate training on AECA and ITAR requirements and understand the individual and organizational ramifications for failure to comply.
