Scissor Hands Cutting Automation Showcased at FSI 2016 International Vendor Show
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) August 05, 2016 -- Scissor Hands wrapped up the FSI International Vendor Show on a high note. Held July 22 in New Orleans this year, franchise owners from the industries of printing, signs and marketing technologies viewed demonstrations of the award-winning bindery automation.
“The franchisees were really impressed by the automation and animated cutting instructions,” said Dominik Huber, global mechatronics manager, Scissor Hands. “Attendees saw the value in how Scissor Hands can handle a cutting job from beginning to end with a JDF file from the prepress imposition.”
Additionally, onscreen animations provide cutter operators with detailed instructions that help to relieve potential bottlenecks on gang runs in the bindery. It also significantly reduces training time from weeks to days.
“Cost efficiency is a huge factor for these franchisees who have to be efficient in every phase of their operations,” Huber stated. “Because Scissor Hands programs the cutter, it eliminates complex manual calculations.”
Efficient cutting sequencing combined with guided instructions for cutter operators thereby increases uptime and throughput in the bindery, and ultimately, revenue.
Scissor Hands Software was demonstrated on a Triumph 5255 Guillotine Cutter from Ideal during the show. The software can be easily integrated into any existing workflow with various sized Guillotine cutters.
Scissor Hands is looking forward to exhibiting at Graph Expo 2016 at booth #2225, to be held Sept. 25-28 at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
