Lori and Chris each have played active roles in developing successful practices while demonstrating commitment to our clients, our people and our community at the highest level.

On July 29, 2016, John Lucht, Managing Partner of Smith & Howard announced that Lori Wagnon and Chris Ratliff have been named Principals in the firm. “Lori and Chris are leaders and role models at Smith & Howard. They each have played active roles in developing successful practices while demonstrating commitment to our clients, our people and our community at the highest level. We are very proud to name them as Principals at Smith & Howard.”

Lori Wagnon joined the firm in 1993 in the Assurance Services Group. She oversees audits of privately-held businesses, including manufacturing and distribution companies and insurance companies. Lori also leads the firm's Employee Benefit Plan audit practice. Sean Taylor, Assurance Services practice leader said of Lori’s promotion, “Lori has played an integral role in the growth of our audit practice. Specifically, Lori has brought our employee benefit plan audit services to a level of excellence the partnership group is extremely proud of. Chris Ratliff joined Smith & Howard in 2008 in Smith & Howard's Tax Services Group. Chris is a founding member of the restaurant and hospitality team, the tax provision team and serves a variety of clients including those in the restaurant, professional service and manufacturing industries. Debbie Torrance, Tax Services practice leader said of Chris, “If you asked Chris what motivates her as a tax professional , she will answer ‘clients‘. Her commitment to providing quality, responsive service epitomizes the Smith & Howard client service approach and serves as a role model for others in the firm.
