AssetSmart Announces Next-Generation Mobile Application for Android and iOS
Calabasas, California (PRWEB) August 07, 2016 -- AssetSmart®, the global leader in technology asset management software, today announced its next-generation native mobile application - SMART | AMIIX II. This major leap forward empowers mobile workers to execute any AssetSmart transaction, inquiry or update, from anywhere in the world, on any device (PC, barcode reader, tablet or smartphone) in real-time.
Users can also work “disconnected” from a network with the latest necessary data housed locally in an industry-standard open source SQLite® database. Once a connection is re-established, all changes are reconciled and uploaded to a central server via an automatic bi-directional synchronization process. AMIIX II is architected for high-volume use in high-security mission-critical environments such as manufacturing shops, flight test ranges, warehouses, R&D and metrology labs.
“In today’s tech-driven economy, workers are often outside a traditional office environment and this trend is increasing. AMIIX II extends user-friendly mobile access to Asset Management 360 (AM360), the industry’s most tightly integrated and flexible asset management platform through billions of mobile devices running Google Android™ and Apple® iOS™ operating systems. AMIIX continues to support Microsoft® Windows Mobile, as it has since 2010. AMIIX II provides many new benefits and savings through more timely, accurate and complete capture of, and accessibility to, vital asset and service management information. Further, an enormous ecosystem of value-added accessories, services and apps already exists for each of these platforms. We are excited to be aggressively exploring many new applications for the latest mobile technologies in our quest to better serve the dynamic asset management and technology service management markets.” said Chris Campbell, AssetSmart President and CEO.
AssetSmart’s proprietary UI technology provides a consistent and friendly ‘look and feel’ across all User Interfaces. The system’s unique open architecture supports both Microsoft SQL Server® and Oracle® databases and can be installed locally or cloud-hosted, and tightly integrated with Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools, ERP, SCM and other mission-critical systems through the use of AssetSmart provided APIs for batch and real-time system to system updates. The system is optimized for use within high-security, medium to large-scale organizations across unlimited locations and is completely web and mobile-enabled.
AssetSmart is Section 508 Compliant and offers a complete solution suite designed to facilitate compliance (A-123, DFARS, FAR, ISO 55000, JFMIP, etc.), reduce risk and leverage best practices.
