NRMP International to Participate in AMEE International Conference on Medical Education in Barcelona
Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 09, 2016 -- National Resident Matching Program International® (NRMPI®) is pleased to announce its participation in the 2016 conference of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE). AMEE represents medical educators and healthcare professionals from ninety countries on five continents and annually attracts more than 3,000 attendees from around the globe. The 2016 AMEE conference takes place August 27-31 at the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB) in Barcelona, Spain..
“This is the third AMEE conference for NRMP International,” said Mona M. Signer, NRMPI President and Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward each year to connecting with the global health community and sharing how NRMPI matching services can enhance recruitment to physician postgraduate medical education programs and inform workforce planning at the local, regional, and national levels. We also welcome the opportunity to build new collaborations that can transfer the success of our United States matching program to countries outside the U.S. and Canada.”
NRMP International is a subsidiary of the United States-based National Resident Matching Program® (NRMP®), which uses a computerized mathematical algorithm to place medical school students and graduates into residency and fellowship training programs. NRMP attracts students and graduates of international medical schools interested in training in the United States, but NRMPI is designed to assist medical regulatory authorities around the world in building high quality resident physician placement programs that address their unique needs and cultural and geographical differences.
NRMPI representatives will be available in the exhibit hall to provide information about NRMPI, the Nobel Prize winning mathematical algorithm, and web-based technology that makes it possible to manage a successful matching program anywhere in the world.
About NRMPI Matches
NRMP International, a subsidiary of the United States-based National Resident Matching Program, was established in 2010 to build global partnerships with countries interested in creating high-quality matching programs. NRMPI uses a computerized mathematical algorithm to match applicants to their most-preferred program that also ranked the applicant and did not fill with applicants more preferred by the program. NRMPI is entirely web-based and has a 100 percent accuracy rate. Research on its matching algorithm was a basis for awarding The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel in 2012.
