At the World of Coffee competitions in Dublin on June 22-25, an unprecedented 16 baristas elected to feature a total of 10 different Ninety Plus® Taste Profiles in their competitions to become a world champion. For the third consecutive year, the champion in the World Brewers Cup presented a Ninety Plus coffee. In the World Barista Championship, Ninety Plus also rose to the top.
In total, four of the top six baristas on the Winners Stage at these two preeminent world competitions featured Ninety Plus Coffee. These coffees embodied recent processing innovations pioneered by the Company.
Ten baristas who were national champions representing their countries competed with Ninety Plus coffees in the World Brewers Cup (“WBrC”). Six competed in the World Barista Championship (“WBC”).

In particular, the 2016 version of Ninety Plus Cold Fermentation, a process that enhances coffee flavor intensity and complexity, was featured by several baristas and also showcased at tasting events at the World of Coffee trade show floor.
Notable competitors and distinctive Ninety Plus Taste Profiles included WBrC World Champion Tetsu Kasuya from Coffee Factory in Japan who competed with Ninety Plus Sillvia; WBrC 3rd Place Champion Chad Wang from Taiwan representing Jascaffe China with Ninety Plus Lotus; 2nd Place WBC Champion Yoshikazu Iwase of Rec Coffee in Japan using Ninety Plus Sillvia; and 3rd Place WBC Champion Ben Put of Monogram Coffee in Canada using Ninety Plus Semeon Abay.
