Brandwood Global Launches Automated Online Marketplace
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 11, 2016 -- Brandwood Global, Inc. (BwG) announced the official launch of its members-only online marketplace that enables Hollywood Deal Making in the Cloud. Brandwood Global’s platform uses proprietary technology to bring users together with real-time branded entertainment opportunities. Opportunities include connecting and executing product placement, integration and sponsorship deals with content creators (film, streaming TV, digital, gaming, music videos, live events and commercials), celebrities and brands.
Brandwood Global launched in beta in September 2015, and currently more than 600 brands, content creators, celebrities and agents are using the platform to close deals. The company was created to disrupt the analog-driven “who you know” method of Hollywood deal making, a model that works well for Hollywood insiders but excludes emerging brands and artists.
“Currently, only one percent of brands and creatives have access to exposure deals in Hollywood, while agent fees and legal issues make it next to impossible, not to mention cost prohibitive, for the other 99 percent to get in on the action,” said co-founder and CEO Stephanie Weier. “We built Brandwood Global as a disruptive platform and a collaborative community that uses a patent-pending valuation app, flattening the Hollywood status quo system and allowing smaller brands and content creators to perfect the price of a deal directly with each other in an automated and affordable way.”
In addition to opening a door that was previously closed to the majority of brands and creatives, the Brandwood Global platform allows for better geographic reach for projects/endorsements, more targeted access to the right audience and, most importantly, measurable results for the first time ever. It is also more time efficient and safe from a legal perspective than current methods.
“As threats to traditional and digital ‘interruption-style’ advertising, like Ad Skipping and Ad Blocking, become more prevalent, consumers are using new ways and devices to consume content,” said Larry Weier, Brandwood Global’s co-founder and COO. “Brands shown in content create stronger emotional connection, recall and purchase intent. To meet this evolving demand, 62 percent of brands are moving to soft advertising (PwC) such as brand integration and product placement.”
Eric Speier, Partner at 5ecreative, a creative development agency, added, "As a digital agency creating both original and contract entertainment properties as well as our licensing our own original platform that adds value to brands, celebrities, and influencers by gamefying social media feeds, 5 Elements Entertainment instantly saw the brilliance behind Brandwood. Never before could we hope to curate product placement deals for all sizes of projects and campaigns. Everyone wins without all the headaches and legal fees! This is disruption at its finest."
Connecting users is only the first step. The platform then walks both parties through the negotiation, legal and contract process. The platform’s algorithm calculates the market value of deals, based on historical data and a thorough market analysis, giving both parties confidence that their agreement will be fair and ready to close quickly. When the deal is complete and activated, Brandwood Global provides metrics through the users’ dashboard, allowing all parties to see the ROI of their investment, and at the conclusion of the contract, Brandwood Global facilitates making payments to the various parties.
“OnFire Networks specializes in distribution of media content. We spent years navigating the ins and outs of the Hollywood machine. What Brandwood Global offers us is a partner who really understands how the entertainment machine works, access to deals normally unreachable, and an expedited way to manage it all. Only long-term industry vets could build a product that’s so well thought out and comprehensive,” said Trey Goodrum, CCO, OnFire Networks.
About the Platform:
• Brands, content creators and celebrities may join Brandwood Global, complete a profile and see matches for free.
• The system is a complement to existing agency systems across all platforms (i.e. celeb, content, brand agencies).
• Once a match is accepted, users subscribe to an affordable monthly or annual service package.
• For deal management services provided by Brandwood Global, including presenting and valuing the match, closing the legal agreement between parties, escrow services and managing compliance with the deal terms, Brandwood Global receives 10 percent of the value of the brand integration deal – significantly less than traditional agent fees of 20 to 30 percent.
• For product placement deals, the administrative fee for processing the agreement is $99 per placement, regardless of the product value provided.
