Allenhurst Christian Fellowship to Begin its 18th Season
ALLENHURST, NJ (PRWEB) August 12, 2016 -- Do you know how to pray? I mean, do you really know how to pray? Is your prayer life vibrant and invigorating or do you find yourself barren when it comes to your prayer life? Are you praying every morning and evening? Are you praying all the time? Are you praying at all?
Some of us pray only when we are in crisis mode. We cry out to God for His help when we are driven to our knees with fear, anxiety, depression, addiction, failure, health and/or financial challenges. But do we remember Him when life seems to be going our way? Do we take the time then to thank God for our blessings? Is prayer a daily, primary, first priority in our lives?
You may have heard the saying that there are no atheists on an airplane that is in a nose dive toward the ground. Everyone in that plane is calling out to God for help.
St. Paul tells us to “PRAY UNCEASINGLY!”
Maybe you have never learned how to pray. Maybe you do not believe in the power of prayer. Maybe you have rejected prayer because you feel your prayer has gone unanswered. Or maybe you just can’t find the time in your busy day to pray. Whatever the case may be, I am here to tell you that there is power in prayer because prayer is your direct line to the source of all power; God Almighty!
So, if you would like to learn how to pray like the Patriarchs and Prophets of the Old Testament; or like the Apostles and the first Christians of the New Testament; or like Jesus Christ Himself? Here is your opportunity…
Hi; my name is Richard Santore and I have been running a Bible Study, the Allenhurst Christian Fellowship Group, for the past 18 years on Wednesday nights in Allenhurst, NJ.
“A JOURNEY IN PRAYER” is the subject matter for our 2016-2017 season which begins on September 14, 2016. In the Bible, we will read the stories of Abraham, Moses, Nehemiah, Daniel, David and Hannah from the Old Testament and of Mary, Paul, the Apostles, the early church Christians and Jesus in the New Testament. We will explore how they prayed and learn how their prayers, lifted up to God, were answered. From these models of faith my hope is that we will make our JOURNEY IN PRAYER a very special and integral part of our everyday lives and that our prayer life will become so vibrant that we will make prayer a daily, primary, first priority in our lives
So please join us; every Wednesday evening beginning September 14, 2016. Our meetings begin at 6:30 pm and usually end by 8:00 pm. We meet in a second floor conference room located at 201 Main Street, Allenhurst, NJ. All are welcome!
