Lakeland, FL & Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) August 16, 2016
SonicSurg Innovations, an orthopedic device company that is commercializing products for the upper extremity surgical market, announced today that it has reached another milestone of 1,000 patient procedures utilizing its Trigger Tome® surgical instrument for trigger releases in the hand. No major complications have been reported.
Joel Norenberg, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for SonicSurg, noted that he has received calls from patients thanking the Company for providing this fast and economical solution to this painful condition in the hand. Norenberg said: "Patients across the U.S. appreciate the simplicity and convenience of the Trigger Tome® procedure. It not only provides immediate relief, but recovery occurs in just days vs. weeks when the conventional open procedure is used."
SonicSurg's Founder and creator of the Trigger Tome®, Brian M. Jurbala, M.D., is a fellowship-trained hand surgeon himself and has seen nearly every possible painful condition that can occur in the hand. He commented: "This minimally invasive approach is accurate, fast and preserves flexibility. Because using the Trigger Tome® is less disruptive to the soft tissue in the palm of the hand, healing is much faster with less pain." Plus, he added, "and when performed in the office environment, it is much more convenient for both the surgeon and the patient." Dr. Jurbala has additional products planned that will focus on his minimally invasive philosophy.
As procedure volume continues to increase through patient demand for this simplified office-based method, SonicSurg plans to produce videos and webinars to educate other hand surgeons in minimally invasive trigger release procedures. Dr. Jurbala will also be training other surgeons at his clinic in Lakeland, FL. SonicSurg will soon be releasing the training schedule, for the upcoming year, to a long list of enthusiastic surgeons.
