New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) August 16, 2016
IDScan.net, a Louisiana based software company, announced that they are offering free services to assist those in the search and rescue in Southern Louisiana and Mississippi. This includes volunteers, disaster response groups as well as law enforcement.
Their ID scanning applications give recovery response groups the ability to easily collect, track and maintain information of the flooding victims who have been rescued. These applications collect the information from a government issued ID using the camera on a mobile device. They can search the application’s database by name, ID number, date and time to confirm rescue to loved ones and family members as well as share information with law enforcement. The applications can also be used to collect volunteer information.
For those involved in the rescue recovery, if you have a mobile device, you will first register for the application, VeriScan Online, here. In the comments section of the registration, please put that you are part of the disaster relief in Louisiana or Mississippi.
Once registered, you will receive an email with two logins and passwords, one is for the VeriScan Online portal, which stores the ID information and allows you to run reports, search for names, etc. The other is for the actual VeriScan Online app which you will download from the Apple App or Google Play Store. Once you have registered and downloaded the app, enter the login information provided in the email.
If response teams are using an iPad, IDScan.net recommends downloading VS Max as it gives users the ability to have customizable dropdowns and fields to easily ask and record answers to questions from those that have been rescued. Users will follow the same registration instructions mentioned above with VS Max, except they will download VS Max instead of VeriScan Online. Response teams can then change the login information by logging onto the VeriScan Online portal here and clicking on the “Settings” tab, then on “Devices” and the “Edit” button.
IDScan.net works with companies like Response Force 1 and Virginia Task Force 1 who participate in national and international disaster response missions. If you have any questions, please contact IDScan.net at 504-434-0222 or send an email to info(at)idscan(dot)net.
Thank you and be safe.
