Laurelhurst Village Earns Three Perfect State Surveys in 2016

As federal and state agencies ramp up scrutiny of senior service providers throughout the state of Oregon, Laurelhurst Village did something few can by achieving perfect results on three separate 2016 annual inspections. The post-acute care and senior living campus, which is managed by the Avamere family of companies and is located at 3060 SE Stark St., Portland, OR 97214, earned perfect surveys for skilled nursing and long-term care, assisted living, and fire & life safety.

The rigorous unannounced inspections are conducted annually by the Oregon Department of Human Services. State inspectors examine over five hundred quality standards including administration, staffing ratios, safety, food and dining services, overall cleanliness of the buildings, resident rights, quality of care and many more. The purpose of the surveys is to ensure skilled nursing and assisted living facilities meet state and federal regulations. The results of the surveys, which are publicly available, serve as a great tool for patients, residents, and families to make informed decisions when searching for care and living options.
