Long-awaited Fleet Farm store opens on Wednesday with a broad assortment of quality brands at industry-leading prices - plus great cost-savings promotions

A new Mills Fleet Farm store in Hermantown will open this Wednesday, August 17th, at 7:00 a.m. Located just west of Burning Tree Plaza at 4165 Loberg Avenue, the 185,000 square-foot store will offer customers great values with a broad assortment of merchandise in a friendly, easy-to-shop environment. Customers visiting the Hermantown store will also benefit from the convenience offered by the on-site Fleet Farm Gas Mart and the accompanying soft-touch car wash. In addition, every purchase of merchandise inside the main store will entitle customers to a discount on the already low price of Fleet Farm fuel.

Like all Fleet Farm stores, the giant new store in Hermantown will carry a broad selection of sporting goods, pet supplies, auto supplies, lawn and garden equipment, farm supplies, home furnishings, candy and snacks, apparel, and much more. For customers looking for great car service and even greater values, a state-of-the art Automotive Service Center will offer convenient and low-priced automotive service solutions for tires, batteries and routine maintenance.

Continuing Fleet Farm’s long tradition of carrying great brands at low prices, customers shopping at the new Hermantown store will find many well-known national brands, including DeWalt, Under Armour, Michelin, Carhartt, Science Diet, and many others.

In announcing the opening of the new Hermantown store, Duncan Mac Naughton, President and CEO of Mills Fleet Farm, reflected on the core values that made Fleet Farm the most beloved retail brand in the upper Midwest: “For more than 60 years, Mills Fleet Farm has stood on principles of honesty, integrity, value, and service, and those principles will continue to guide our decisions as we open new stores, first here in Hermantown and then elsewhere throughout the Midwest.” Mac Naughton reinforced that the company also had no intention of departing from the business principles that made Fleet Farm such a popular shopping destination in Minnesota and elsewhere: “We’ll continue to deliver quality brands at industry-leading prices with great promotions,” Mac Naughton said. “As our Hermantown customers will soon find out, the breadth of our merchandise assortment, the size of our stores, and our friendly store teams provide a shopping experience that no other retailer can match.”

Community giving has long been one of Mills Fleet Farm’s core values. In keeping with that tradition, Fleet Farm CEO Mac Naughton announced today that Fleet Farm would be donating $3,000 to the Hermantown Police Department K9 Unit and that a check would be presented to Hermantown Police Chief Jim Crace. Mac Naughton went on to say: “At a time when the grave risks faced by police officers are all too often front page news, I can’t think of a better way to begin a community giving program in Hermantown than to start by supporting its police department.”

The store opening ceremonies on Wednesday begin at 9:00 and are open to the public. City officials will be in attendance along with others whose support and contributions made this new store possible. Customers shopping on opening day will have the opportunity to participate in special “opening day” promotional contests.
