PactSafe Launches PactSafe for Startups to Reduce Time Spent by Entrepreneurs on Legal Activities
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (PRWEB) August 23, 2016 -- PactSafe, the leader in providing in-house legal teams and software developers with a legal system of record, announced a brand new offering for startup companies today. PactSafe for Startups is a service built specifically to help entrepreneurs reduce the time they’re spending worrying about online terms, contract signatures, and how online legal terms are accepted. This announcement comes on the heels of a hiring announcement of up to 91 new employees by 2020 (more here: http://www.ibj.com/articles/59360-pair-of-software-firms-plan-to-add-a-combined-160-jobs), major updates to their cloud-based platform, and their graduation from the Acceleprise program in San Francisco.
PactSafe for Startups is available to software-as-a-service companies that are either members or graduates of dozens of different technology accelerators and incubators around the country. The service offers plug and play integration for clickwrap agreements (more info here: http://bit.ly/2biXcbM) and access to a series of templates for which entrepreneurs often hire an attorney or commandeer from other websites. Additionally, a dashboard for electronic contracts, a branded cloud-based legal center, and access to PactSafe’s electronic signature solution.
Companies eligible for PactSafe for Startups have less than $1 million in revenue, must have taken less than $1 million in investment, and have less than 1,000 customers. The first year of the service is free and for the next 6 months, customers are subject to a legacy pricing structure.
Accelerators around the US like Acceleprise (http://acceleprise.vc) are eligible for PactSafe for Startups. “Startups need an easy-to-implement solution for their legal terms and conditions,” said Mike Cardamone, Managing Director of Acceleprise SF. “PactSafe gives them access to a cutting edge platform that allows them to quickly follow best practices for protecting their business.”
“We’re thrilled to share our platform with other startups. Most companies just starting out really don’t spend the necessary time tracking who accepted or signed contracts in any systematic way—be it online, over email, or by signing up through their app,” PactSafe CEO Brian Powers said. “PactSafe for Startups gives entrepreneurs peace of mind, solid recordkeeping, and empowers them to get back to doing what they do best: building a great company.”
