Virtual Jukebox grows global business with new retail partnership Down Under
(PRWEB UK) 20 August 2016 -- Virtual Jukebox, the leading music, entertainment and marketing innovator for the retail and hospitality markets, has extended its international portfolio with a new five-year retail agreement in Australia. The interactive music, entertainment and marketing provider has launched its service across 350 of Australia’s The Reject Shop – one of the country’s largest discount stores.
The new collaboration follows a string of recent global successes in the USA, Canada and South Africa, alongside some lucrative UK contracts that are currently in the pipeline for the music and entertainment provider.
UK based research has shown the importance of music in retail stores, with 90% of shoppers selecting a retailer that was playing music over one that was not and 60% saying that they would spend more time in a store if they hear music they like. The Virtual Jukebox system will allow The Reject Shop to create managed playlists across all stores that appeal to their target customers, increasing dwell time and maximising profits.
Imran Malik, Project Manager for The Reject Shop explains: “This new partnership with Virtual Jukebox will not only offer Reject Shop stores extensive choice when it comes to music selection, but it will also save its staff time, as the tool is very simple to manage and control what’s played.
“Attracting people to experience what The Reject Shop offers is a hugely important factor for the business. This new entertainment package will help the company to engage with customers and to achieve continued success. The Virtual Jukebox offering is also particularly competitive in the Australian market and this was another primary reason for our switch.”
Andy Hill, CEO of Virtual Jukebox, comments: “Following our recent developments in the USA, Canada and South Africa, The Reject Shop is another important customer which will help us continue to expand the business globally. The Reject Shop is a big high street brand in Australia, and we look forward to delivering an outstanding music and technology service for the company over the next five years.”
Virtual Jukebox provides an unprecedented choice of music to the retail industry – giving outlets total control of the music that creates the atmosphere in-store.
