It was obvious to me that Renters Warehouse was something very much needed in Miami and would achieve immediate success.

Renters Warehouse, one of the largest and most awarded residential property management firms in the country, has named Rick Drew the new Market Leader for the Miami-Dade County office.

Drew comes to the Renters Warehouse family with more than 20 years of sales and marketing management experience with one of the largest resort developers in the world.

“I have dealt with renting in Miami and found it to be arduous at best,” says Rick. “In the past, Miami has lacked a conduit for tenants looking for rentals or landlords looking for tenants, something that Renters Warehouse provides. It was obvious to me that Renters Warehouse was something very much needed in Miami and would achieve immediate success. Joining the team was a natural step for me.”

Renters Warehouse manages more than 16,000 homes for over 12,000 investors across the country, and about $3 billion worth of residential real estate.

Drew joins the Renters Warehouse team just as the Miami-Dade County office has become part of the company’s corporate family. It originally opened as a franchise in February 2015.

“Bringing the Miami-Dade County office into the corporate family opens up major growth opportunities,” says Matt Leavitt, Regional Vice President of Sales for Renters Warehouse. “Corporate has a vast array of resources to support the marketing efforts, customer service and property management knowledge we have in Miami, along with marketing and financial resources to achieve much greater results in a substantially faster time frame.”

Matt expects the Miami-Dade County office to be managing hundreds more properties within the next year now that it has all the power of the corporate office behind it.
Renters Warehouse corporate also brings with it a new Portfolio Services Division that uniquely serves larger, mid- to institutional-level real estate investors with both centralized services and local market expertise and staff, allowing investors to relax knowing their properties are receiving first-class care.

Miami is truly a city of renters. In 2015, New York University’s Furman Center found that 65 percent of the population of Miami rents, the highest of any of the big cities in the U.S. Miami remains among the most expensive rental markets in the U.S., ranking 8th in Zumper’s National Rent Report for August. By the end of 2016, average asking rents are forecast to reach $2,043.00 per month, up 2.6 percent year over year. Vacancy is anticipated to increase to 3.6 per cent, remaining among the lowest in the country.
