The coordination between CSD and FIT is significant in that demand for BCBAs doubled between 2012 and 2014 nationally and continues to grow, especially in California.

Center for Social Dynamics is proud to announce that it has coordinated the application and enrollment of 16 of its employees into degree and certificate programs in applied behavior analysis offered by the Florida Institute of Technology. The enrollment is the result of months of preparations focused on eventual endorsement as an FIT-approved remote practicum site. CSD awarded one participant with a full scholarship for the program.
Ten CSD employees have entered the Florida Tech Hybrid Master’s in Professional Behavior Analysis degree program which includes graduate coursework, capstone, and intensive practicum. The practicum allows CSD to rapidly accrue experience under intensive supervision. The supervision is provided by a Florida Tech faculty member in conjunction with senior CSD BCBAs. For anyone interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, enrollment in the October 2016 is available (early registration discounts available until September 1).
In addition to the 10 students applying to the Hybrid MA program, six more CSD employees have entered the FIT Board Certified Behavior Analyst certificate program. The ultimate goal of both programs is to obtain BCBA certification, a means to demonstrate mastery of the minimal skills necessary to provide behavior analysis services as well as supervise other therapists providing behavior analysis.
This effort represents CSD’s commitment to building a highly-qualified workforce to best serve its clients. It likewise demonstrates CSD’s dedication to advancing the careers and professional development of its employees. Daniel Sanchez, a CSD behavior specialist and one of the inaugural class explained, “The coordination between FIT and CSD has given me this amazing opportunity to earn my masters in an accessible, feasible, and timely manner.” Scholarship recipient Janet Dai added, "This scholarship is one of many ways CSD and FIT are incredible benefactors to my education and career. Not only has the scholarship assisted me financially, but also motivates me further to be the best I can be in this field."
In the larger context, the coordination between CSD and FIT is significant in that demand for BCBAs doubled between 2012 and 2014 nationally and continues to grow, especially in California.
