MCNA Dental Provides Assistance to Louisiana Flood Victims
(PRWEB) August 22, 2016 -- MCNA Dental is providing over $25,000 in donations to assist flood victims and dental providers in the 20 parishes of Louisiana declared a federal disaster due to recent record flooding across the state. Additional resources are being made available to assist our participating dentists in their rebuilding efforts, so they can open their offices as quickly as possible.
MCNA Dental provides dental services to children and adults enrolled in Louisiana's Medicaid and CHIP programs.
In partnership with the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, MCNA Dental has provided 4,000 dental hygiene kits to the university for those families who have been left homeless and are being temporarily housed in shelters around the state.
MCNA is also proud to support the efforts of Governor Edwards by donating to the Louisiana Red Cross to help families in need of temporary housing, food, clothing and other necessities, according to Dr. Jeffrey Feingold, President, CEO, and Founder of MCNA Dental.
"Our family, friends, and colleagues have been affected by the flooding. As a graduate of Tulane University, a piece of my heart has always been in Louisiana," said Dr. Feingold. "We will be there to support their recovery."
The Louisiana Red Cross helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies every day. Prevention is taught in schools, at public events and at speaking engagements. Preparations take place with training for CPR, first aid and more. Volunteers are called to the scene of emergencies to give food, clothing, shelter, and comfort to all people who are affected by disasters.
