United Benefit Advisors and Symetra to Host “Closing the Coverage Gap” Webinar
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) August 22, 2016 -- Even before the Affordable Care Act (ACA) upturned today's health care system, high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) were becoming the norm for employer-sponsored plans. HDHPs make financial sense for many groups because they offer lower monthly insurance premiums, as compared to low-deductible plans, and encourage employees to be better health care consumers. But for some employees, meeting high deductibles can be a challenge.
To help HR professionals and business owners better manage those challenges, United Benefit Advisors (UBA), in conjunction with Symetra® Life Insurance Company, will host a webinar — “Closing the Coverage Gap” — on Thursday, August 25, at 2:00 p.m. ET. To receive complimentary access to the webinar, enter code SYMUBA8252016 at registration.
“More and more employers are choosing to provide HDHP coverage for their employees, hoping to mitigate premium increases, and adding a health savings plan to offset the higher out-of-pocket costs,” says Jason Reeves, Director of Survey at United Benefit Advisors. “We find, and statistics from our annual UBA Health Plan Survey show, that fewer companies are offering in-network health plans with no deductibles and the costs for median, in-network deductibles for all plan types rose 33 percent since 2014.”
Symetra’s Bret Fredericksen will discuss the challenge meeting high deductibles presents for many employees and outline solutions designed to help employers manage high deductible plans without sacrificing quality care and coverage for their employees. “With a successful gap strategy, employers are able to enhance their overall benefits package and employees are able to better manage their health care dollars,” says Fredericksen.
