Andrews Federal Credit Union Makes Donation to Purchase School Uniforms

Generous donation assists elementary school in nation's capital with uniform purchases in time for 2016-17 school year.

Andrews Federal’s Oma George, Chief Retail Officer and Henson Ridge Branch Manager, Jasmine Lyle, present a check to Turner Elementary School Principal, Eric Bethel to purchase school uniforms.

Andrews Federal Credit Union recently donated $1,000 to purchase school uniforms for children in need at Anita J. Turner Elementary School in Washington, DC.

Turner is located in a challenging neighborhood in the Congress Heights section of the nation’s capital. Ninety-nine percent of its students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch.

“We take extreme pride in supporting our community,” said Jasmine Lyle, Henson Ridge Branch Manager. “We love to see each student start their year off looking great, and with great confidence.”
