The office of Dr. David Rapaport is pleased to announce the addition of a new specialist, Darren M. Smith, MD, to its team. A New York physician with a unique and in-demand skillset, Dr. Smith comes to Dr. Rapaport’s practice on 5th Avenue in Manhattan after having completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, as well as a craniofacial surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. His specialty training in craniofacial surgery makes him particularly suited for addressing issues in facial appearance that affect patients with congenital problems.
A native New Yorker, Dr. Smith has degrees from Brown University at both the undergraduate and medical levels. Additionally, he’s completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center, spent three years dedicated to basic science research in craniofacial biology and has received a host of awards, including the International Congress on Cleft Lip/Palate and Related Anomalies Owen Cole Memorial Scholarship.
