Volunteers from FirstService Residential participate in blood drive and Goodie Two Shoes charity event

Associates of FirstService Residential, the leading community management company in Nevada, participated in multiple charity events throughout the summer as part of their commitment to give back to the community.

FirstService Residential partnered with United Blood Services to host a blood drive at its main office located in Las Vegas in July. During the four hour event, associates donated over 20 pints of blood that helped save over 60 patient lives. “Nevada is facing a severe blood shortage. The donations they were able to provide are greatly needed, and greatly appreciated,” said Paul Fronczak, donor recruitment representative for United Blood Services. “They helped us during a month where we have had challenges getting healthy people to donate. We appreciate their support.”

In August, FirstService Residential associates volunteered for the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, where they assisted 359 local, under-privileged children with the sizing of their feet and choosing a brand new pair of shoes. Associates also gave away backpacks and pairs of socks.

”We appreciate and value the enthusiasm and support of FirstService Residential’s employee volunteers,” said Nikki Berti, co-founder and CEO of The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation. “Without caring community volunteers like these, we simply couldn’t do what we do!”

As part of FirstService Residential’s slogan to make a difference, every day, the company and its associates sponsor and participate in numerous charity and community events each year. This month associates will participate in the STEPtember event in support of United Cerebral Palsy, as well as the Walk in Memory, Walk for Hope to spread awareness for suicide prevention. “Summer has been filled with amazing opportunities to give back to our community,” said Steven Parker, president of FirstService Residential in Nevada. “We are very proud to see our associates embrace these opportunities in and outside of the office.”
