Passwaiter Named Vice President and General Manager of Kantar Media's Political Ad Monitoring Unit

Veteran Market Research Executive to Head Kantar Media’s Campaign Media Analysis Group, Leader in Political and Issues Ad Expenditure Analysis

Kantar Media, a global leader in media intelligence, today announced that Steve Passwaiter has been named Vice President and General Manager of their Campaign Media Analysis Group (CMAG).

In his new position, Passwaiter will be responsible for general oversight of the Kantar Media business unit and lead its business development efforts. He had been serving as Senior Director of Business Development for CMAG.

Passwaiter succeeds Elizabeth Wilner, who is leaving Kantar Media after a successful five year tenure at CMAG to pursue a new business opportunity.

CMAG provides ad spending intelligence on political, advocacy and influencer campaigns to candidates, campaigns, agencies, political parties, trade organizations, corporations, analysis firms and media companies.

“Steve’s deep experience in media and marketing research and his insights regarding political media buying, analytics, ad sales and content make him ideally suited to head our political monitoring unit as we approach the critical Presidential election cycle post-conventions,” says Andy Brown, CEO and Chairman, Kantar Media. “Under Steve’s guidance we will continue to be the authority in political and issue advertising data and insights while delivering value to our clients in the political and issue advocacy sector.”

Prior to joining CMAG as Senior Director of Business Development, Passwaiter was the founder and CEO of SLP Media Strategies, which provides outsourced business development services. He is also a former Board Adviser for Sportsdigita, an interactive sports agency that specializes in digital sponsorship, ticketing and fan engagement products for professional sports teams, and served as Vice President of Business Development for BIA/Kelsey.

He is a graduate of John Carroll University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and History.
