Boston, Massachusetts (PRWEB) September 26, 2016 -- Shareity, a Boston-area charitable giving app, is releasing a new version that is making it easier than ever for nonprofits to build meaningful relationships with donors. Shareity’s newest update increases donor-charity engagement through gamification.
Shareity enables charities to reward users with badges for donations and other interactions, including volunteering and taking part in challenges.
The challenge feature provides nonprofits the most significant opportunity for donor engagement within the Shareity app. This feature allows users to accept interactive challenges issued by nonprofits, which reward users with a collectable, digital badge upon completion. Users are encouraged to invite their friends to take part in the challenge to add limited-edition challenge badges to their collections.
Shareity’s current charity challenge is the Smile for St. Jude Challenge. Users take an image of themselves smiling on the Shareity app and share their selfie on social media using the hashtag #SmileforStJude. When users complete the charity challenge, they are rewarded with a limited-edition St. Jude smile badge for their collections.
“Our goal is to help people have positive experiences while making a difference in our world- and to inspire them to do good deeds more often. The challenge feature is a big way that we can encourage people to get out there and proactively help others” said Ben Hill, CEO and Founder of Shareity, “we often forget how much power we have as social media users. Shareity provides empowerment to people to support the causes that matter most to them. With social media, you have the influence of a millionaire or celebrity- and that can be used to improve the world.”
There are six new charities in the latest version of Shareity: Water for Good, The Survivor Network, The Promised Land Dachshund Sanctuary, Asian Women for Health, Live Fresh Palm Beach County and Episcopal Community Services.
Organizations that partner up with Shareity to build their one-on-one relationships with donors beyond social media. If you are interested in becoming a Shareity charity partner, you can contact Shareity’s head of partner relations at mkatz(at)shareity(dot)me.
