Experts to Highlight Strategies, Solutions for Developing Much Needed Affordable Rental Housing at Novogradac Conference
San Francisco (PRWEB) September 01, 2016 -- The affordable rental housing community will gather at the Novogradac 2016 Affordable Housing Tax Credit Conference in New Orleans this month to discuss with attendees the latest industry news and financing strategies. Speakers will also provide an outlook on what is in store for the most successful affordable housing program in the country, the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC), which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The two-day conference will be Sept. 29-30 at the Westin New Orleans Canal Place.
“The old saying goes, ‘It doesn’t matter what you know, it matters who you know,’” said George George Littlejohn, CPA, conference co-chairman and partner in Novogradac & Company LLP’s Austin, Texas, office. “Fortunately for attendees of our conference, they won’t have to choose between the two. The Novogradac Affordable Housing Tax Credit Conference offers both expert insights and the opportunity to network with some of the industry’s key players.” Panelists represent various roles in affordable housing development, lending, investing, syndication, law and more.
“Our Novogradac conference is known for bringing together the brightest minds in the tax credit community and giving our attendees the practical knowledge they need to succeed in this industry,” said Rebecca Arthur, MAI, conference co-chairwoman and partner in Novogradac & Company LLP’s metro Kansas City, Mo., office. “After attending panels that explore the current equity outlook, affordable housing debt solutions, negotiating with investors in Year 15 and others, attendees will be well-prepared to tackle any financing challenges that come their way.”
To complement attendees’ conference experience, three pre-conference workshops will be offered Wednesday, Sept. 28: LIHTC 101: The Basics, LIHTC 203: Acq/Rehab Basics and LIHTC 301: Advanced LIHTC Financing. Pre-conference workshop registration is separate and optional. Additional fees apply.
