Wolner Joins Stanley Consultants as Client Service Manager
Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 31, 2016 -- Lindy Wolner has joined Stanley Consultants as a Client Service Manager in the firm’s US Federal and International Programs Market. Stanley Consultants, a global consulting engineering firm, provides program management, planning, engineering, environmental, and construction services worldwide.
Based in Washington, D.C., Wolner will focus on business development through US Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) programs worldwide. The position is a perfect fit. Wolner recently retired from a 30-year career with the USACE as a community planner. “I had a great career with the Corps,” said Wolner. “For three decades I received tremendous satisfaction from bringing solutions to tough challenges. My new position with Stanley Consultants offers the same opportunity to make a positive difference.”
Wolner brings an in-depth knowledge of USACE programs, processes, initiatives, leadership, and staff worldwide. In 1984 he joined USACE Omaha District as a Landscape Architect and within 3 years transferred to Europe District in Germany which began over 15 years of broad international experience from overseas assignments. Holding headquarters USACE positions such as Senior Program Manager and Deputy Chief for Interagency and International Services; USACE Liaison to USAID; and Subject Matter Expert in Military Master Planning gave Wolner a combination of leadership experience, administrative, diplomatic and technical skills, strategic insight and operational perspective to make meaningful contributions to the Corps of Engineers global mission.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Lindy to Stanley Consultants,” said Michelle French, U.S. Federal and International Programs Business Development Manager. “Lindy’s knowledge and understanding of USACE project delivery and his extensive experience in military master planning will help us provide more complete solutions to our Federal clients. He has such a wide range of experience and a passion to solve complex issues – he is going to be a great asset to meeting our clients’ mission objectives.”
Wolner is the recipient of multiple awards including a Department of the Army Meritorious Civilian Award in 2014; a Secretary of Defense Medal for Global War on Terrorism in 2010; a Superior Civilian Service Award for exceptional performance and exemplary leadership to the USACE and US Government liaison to the 5th World Water Forum in 2009; and a Superior Civilian Service Award for Support to Operation Enduring Freedom in 2005.
“While at the USACE I knew firsthand of Stanley Consultants’ reputation as a steady, reliable firm that was always ready to take on the big challenges,” said Wolner. “There are still many great needs out there. I’m excited about helping the USACE and other agencies continue to accomplish their missions through Stanley Consultants.”
Wolner is a graduate of the National Defense University, School for National Security Executive Education, and a member of several posts of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).
Stanley Consultants’ history of service to the U.S. federal government dates back to the ‘30s when the firm played a major role bringing electricity to rural America through the REA program. The firm’s support to the Department of Defense started in 1942 and continues today with over 35 active contracts to support the USACE, Air Force, and Navy.
