Tucky's BBQ Marks 1st Anniversary this Labor Day Weekend
Henderson, Nevada (PRWEB) September 02, 2016 -- Chef Tony Pell, who has been with Tucky's since inception, is now firing up the smokers with new menu items that modernize smoked meat and Southern traditions.
New items include Mac Daddy, a twice-baked version of their original mac 'n cheese, which has one numerous accolades. Mac Daddy features another layer of browned, bubbly cheese, onion strings and homemade bacon in a portion large enough to satisfy hungry customers. The menu already featured such redneck-trailer-friendly items such as the Carload, 5th Wheel, Double Wide and Triple Wide.
Following on the success of Tucky's Texas Filly, a sandwich that was nominated for one Restaurant Hospitality's Best Sandwiches in America, Chef Pell has created the Stick To Your Ribs Burger. The sandwich features.handcrafted ground beef patty, topped with pulled rib meat, cheese, crispy onion straws, Pell's homemade pickles and Tucky's homemade barbecue sauce.
Tucky's BBQ opened September 3, 2015 and was an immediate runaway hit. According to General Manager Gail McFarlane, the east side of Henderson, Nevada was sorely in need of a "great barbecue joint."
"I'm originally from the south side of Chicago, one of the great unsung barbecue cities in the country," said McFarlane. Now that I live here, I looked around and saw that my side of Henderson didn't have access to a great barbecue restaurant, so we brought one."
Tucky's offerings are also available in larger quantities on their Party Selections menu notes McFarlane. "We've cooked for every kind of event from business lunches, to tragedy-stricken backyard barbecues and 250 person weddings."
"We do it all, and have fun doing it."
"Now that we've been here for one year, we're listening to our customers and studying their tastes," said Pell. "We're rolling out new menu items and specials during the entire month of September to keep the party going."
Tucky's BBQ is located at 308 N. Boulder Hwy in Henderson, NV 89015. They are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
