Sim Shalom Rabbi to Take Congregants to Higher Notes with Rosh Hashanah Jazz Service
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 14, 2016 -- On October 3,Sim Shalom Online Synagogue founder Rabbi Blane, will offer a Rosh Hashanah Jazz service to an adventurous group of congregants looking for an innovative place to celebrate the Jewish New Year. "The beginning of the Jewish Calendar, is a fitting time to make beautiful noise," according to Rabbi Blane. "The Torah prescribes us to sound of the shofar creating a joyful noise . Melding the vitality of the musical rhythms with traditional Jewish liturgy is a perfect way for us to reflect on the joy of the holiday and new beginnings."

As part of the celebration Rabbi Blane, who is also a recording singer- songwriter, will sing his new song "Mountain" the lyrics, talk of faith and love. Sim Shalom has offered a jazz High Holiday program to a full house of congregants in New York City for the last five years. This year he will be joined by Jack Glottman on piano, Carol Sudhalter on sax and flute, Frank Levitano on drums, and Kevin Hailey on bass.
