For this reason, it can be used as a brief behavioral intervention to modify health-related behaviors such as nutrition, exercise, smoking, sun exposure, substance abuse, stress management, pain management and sleep maintenance, just to cite a few (5).

Based on Dr. Block’s bestselling, award winning book Come to Your Senses: Demystifying the Mind-Body Connection (1), this newly updated online CE course is an ongoing collaboration with HFO and presents a comprehensive overview of MBB, the relevant literature and a discussion of its powerful experiential aspects and clinical applications to enhance quality of life across a range of patient populations. Additionally, an outline for a 3-session MBB protocol to promote health-related lifestyle change and wellness for use in a variety of clinical settings in both individual and group formats is offered.
