The fear of disruption has been a huge topic in the world of digital strategy of late. There are so many high profile examples of agile, innovative companies wrestling market share away from traditional incumbents with terrifying speed, that it’s surprising fewer companies are investing in security measures. According to a McKinsey study from 2015, though disruption is ‘top of mind,’ it remains ‘bottom of investment priorities,’ with only 1% of executives saying their ‘number one expectation for digital was to disrupt their own or other industries.’
But disruption isn’t the only trend dominating digital strategy - digital engagement of customers is paramount, ranking first as both a strategic priority and as a share of overall digital-budget spending. Respondents to a McKinsey survey largely admitted they were underspending on big data and advanced analytics, though, and clearly digital strategy is still in need of updating, despite the progress being made.
This October 19-20, the attendees to London’s Digital Strategy Innovation Summit will be given insight into actioning real change within their own organisations from some of digital strategy’s most forward-thinking companies. Customer engagement will play a key role in the event, as will the tracking of customer behaviour, maximising ROI from digital and managing a truly modern, digital team.
As well as insight from the industry’s leading voices, attendees will be given the opportunity to meet with other executive-level delegates, share ideas and discuss problems and opportunities, potentially forging the next great business partnership for their company. Panel discussions will be supplemented by organised networking sessions, and attendees will leave the summit equipped to manage the often uncertain, but always exciting, future of digital.
