BlumShapiro Repeats As Platinum Sponsor of Manufacturing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
West Hartford, CT (PRWEB) September 12, 2016 -- BlumShapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England, today announced it is again serving as the Platinum Sponsor of the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame 3rd Annual Induction Ceremony.
The 2016 induction ceremony takes place Thursday, October 6 at the Trumbull Marriott in Trumbull, Connecticut. The American Manufacturing Hall of Fame will induct five past and present manufacturers from the Greater Bridgeport, Greater New Haven and Greater Waterbury areas. They are: Bead Industries, The Benedict & Burnham Manufacturing Company, C. Cowles & Company, Chance Vought and Platt Brothers & Company.

Joe Carbone, CEO of The Workplace, will emcee the festivities, which will include cocktails, dinner and the induction ceremony. Jermaine Burke, a graduate of the Housatonic Community College (HCC) Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Program, will be the guest speaker. Burke received several awards while completing the Advanced Manufacturing Technology program at HCC including “Outstanding Student Award” and “Academic Excellence Award.” Burke, a Bridgeport native and Bassick High graduate, interned this past spring with Balding Precision Inc. and was offered a full-time position with the company after graduation.
The American Manufacturing Hall of Fame celebrates the innovative history of American manufacturing, raises funds for educational programs and promotes awareness of Advanced Manufacturing that is critical to the economy. The proceeds from this year’s event will support scholarships and programs for the Housatonic Community College Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center.
