"The flexibility professional part-time jobs offer provides workers the opportunity to practice within their chosen profession and maintain their skills," said Sara Sutton Fell, Founder and CEO of FlexJobs
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) September 07, 2016
As more employers adopt flexible work options, interest and opportunities for high paying, part-time jobs have increased as well. According to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics data, 20.5 million, or 77 percent, of part-time workers in the U.S. are currently working part-time for non-economic reasons. To demonstrate that jobs requiring advanced education, skills and knowledge can also have part-time schedules, FlexJobs has identified ten flexible high paying, professional-level jobs for experienced candidates to consider.
“Part-time work is sometimes associated with less professional, lower paying jobs, but, as this list indicates, that isn’t necessarily true,” said Sara Sutton Fell, Founder and CEO of FlexJobs. “The opportunities for high paying part-time jobs span industries and positions, while still offering competitive salaries. The flexibility professional part-time jobs offer provides workers the opportunity to practice within their chosen profession and maintain their skills, without the time commitment of a full-time role and a massive disruption to their income.”
According to a recent survey of over 3,000 professionals, 48 percent expressed interest in part-time work as an appealing work schedule. Since 2013, work-life balance (79 percent), family (52 percent), time savings (48 percent) & commute stress (47 percent) have been the top four reported reasons people seek flexible work like part-time jobs.
Each of the ten jobs on this list is geographically varied and meets the following criteria:
-The job is a part-time position, requiring less than 40 hours per week
-The job is professional-level, requiring advanced experience and education
-The job’s pay rates at least $50 per hour, which, in a full-time role, would equate to at least $104,000 annually
-The job was recently posted to FlexJobs’ database
