Midwest Firm BVH Architects Announces New Leadership Structure, New Principals
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA (PRWEB) September 08, 2016 -- BVH Architects, known for such projects in Lincoln and Omaha as the Nebraska State Capital restoration, M’s Pub and Metro Community College’s Connector Building, recently announced a new leadership structure for the firm and promotion of three new principals.
The Board of Directors has appointed Kristine Dorn, IIDA; Mark Bacon, AIA; Steve Miller, AICP, and Clay Lewis as the firm’s new leadership team to guide the day-to-day operations of the Lincoln and Omaha studios. This transition is announced as the firm nears its 50th anniversary and begins strategically planning for the years ahead. The following positions comprise the new leadership team:
Kristine Dorn, IIDA – Vision Director
A veteran of the company since 2005, Kristine’s new role partners her understanding of the design industry with the strategic vision of the organization, guiding the firm into the future.
Mark Bacon, AIA – Creative Director
Mark is now defining firm-wide design strategies to achieve excellence and consistency in projects and brand image.
Clay Lewis – Finance Director
A recent addition to BVH, Clay will focus on leading the firm’s financial success by developing systems and processes that align with overall strategic goals.
Steve Miller, AICP – Practice Director
Steve's charge now includes putting together diverse, talented teams in pursuit of design excellence while also managing the human and technology resources of the firm.
Former firm president Paul Jeffrey, AIA, will continue as chairman of the board and, along with the other seven board members, will advise on strategic initiatives.
“We found a talented and forward-thinking successor in Kristine, and I could not be more confident in her abilities,” Jeffrey said. “I’m excited to focus more on developing client relationships and leading project teams. We're in the midst of several impactful projects, and I'm looking forward to dedicating my time to them.”
Additionally, Kristine Dorn, IIDA; Cleve Reeves, AIA, and Dennis Coudriet, AIA, have been promoted to principals in the firm.
Beginning his career at BVH in 1999, Reeves has worked on numerous design projects including Omaha’s Westside Middle School and the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. He leads BVH’s innovative learning space design initiatives, and has a talent for formulating concepts and ideas while bringing teams together in a collaborative process.
Coudriet has more than 22 years of experience in the industry, practicing in all areas of design and production. Recently, he successfully led the project team on the Saint John Paul II Newman Center at the University of Nebraska Omaha and has completed projects at colleges and universities throughout Nebraska including UNL, Chadron State College and Wayne State College. He is also an adjunct professor at UNL’s College of Architecture.
“I'm honored to have the opportunity to lead BVH and the talented people who work in both our studios toward a new era,” Dorn said. “This comes at a transformative time in our industry, and our new direction reflects that.”
