Help Select the Next Sculpture for BricksALIVE at the South Carolina Aquarium
Charleston, S.C. (PRWEB) September 16, 2016 -- Exhibit designers at the South Carolina Aquarium need your help to pay homage to the #1 city in the world, Charleston. The next addition to the South Carolina Aquarium BricksALIVE experience will include an iconic symbol of the Holy City, and voting will decide what they’ll make. It’s your chance to weigh in on which symbol of Charleston will be created. There are three to choose from that will be made from thousands of LEGO® bricks:
- Giant Sweetgrass Basket
- Playtime at the Pineapple Fountain
- Holy City Landmarks Mural
Voting is live from now until Sunday, October 16. The winning design will be announced Friday, November 18 and the sculpture will be unveiled on Friday, November 25th. To cast your vote, visit the South Carolina Aquarium Facebook page.
More on BricksALIVE:
BricksALIVE, an innovative experience, uses more than 250,000 LEGO® bricks to form a collection of more than 12 life-sized, one-of-a-kind animal sculptures, highlighting some of the incredible creatures that call South Carolina home.
The colorful collection features an 8-foot dolphin, a sea turtle, a bald eagle, a river otter and more—all constructed by dedicated members of the Aquarium’s exhibit team over the course of five months. Guests are invited to admire these amazing structures next to the real animals that inspire them, and learn what makes each animal special, unique and important to protect.
BricksALIVE aims to connect guests with animals and the ocean through LEGO® bricks, ultimately inspiring guests to care for our environment. The experience will be included with general admission to the Aquarium or an Aquarium membership. For more information, visit scaquarium.org or call (843) 577-FISH (3474).
