Weatherbee Resources, Inc. Hires Kerry Stevenson as Director of Hospice Consulting Services

In this position, Stevenson will provide strategic and operational direction for all aspects of Weatherbee’s consulting division.

Stevenson brings more than 15 years of hospice experience to his position with Weatherbee. He started in hospice in 1998 working for Sharp HealthCare as a patient care nurse, and then worked for San Diego Hospice as a patient care manager in their palliative home health department before joining a large national, multi-location hospice provider. Stevenson has worked in both the for-profit and not-for-profit environment serving in a variety of roles including Corporate Compliance Advocate, Performance Improvement Specialist, Team Manager, Community Representative, Admission Nurse, Case Manager and Nurse Preceptor. In his most recent position, Stevenson advised more than 70 hospice providers regarding external medical reviews and audits, advised leaders regarding focused medial reviews, Office of Inspector General audits, Zone Program Integrity Contractor audits, Recovery Audit Contractor audits, Comprehensive Error Rate Testing program, and Medicaid and managed care medical review requests. He has extensive experience managing hospice audits, managing a hospice performance improvement program, and developing internal performance improvement efforts. He has trained hundreds of hospice leaders, clinicians, and staff regarding every aspect of regulatory compliance and will be an excellent addition to the faculty of Weatherbee’s renowned Hospice Regulatory Boot Camps.
